Quality Inspector I/II - IPC & J-STD Experienced

Pay: $25-$32 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, Temp-to-Hire
Workweek Options: 4/10 or 5/8
Shifts Available:

  • 1st Shift: 6:00am - 4:30pm
  • 2nd Shift: 12:00pm - 10:30pm

Note: Candidates must complete a PCB inspection test prior to interviewing.


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector I/II with strong knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 (latest revisions) to perform first article, in-process, incoming, and final inspections on PCB assemblies and components. The ideal candidate has exceptional attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform First Article Inspections on all board levels and accurately record results.
  • Conduct Incoming Inspections on components and assemblies.
  • Complete Final Inspections of completed assemblies following company procedures and requirements.
  • Verify the accuracy and functionality of test equipment using established standards.
  • Review and sign company certifications when needed.
  • Evaluate returned or rejected materials and determine status.
  • Perform random in-process inspections as required.
  • Support departmental productivity, accuracy, and process flow.
  • Maintain all quality records related to inspection activities.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions with precision.

Required Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong understanding of:
    • IPC-A-610 (latest rev.)
    • J-STD-001 (latest rev.)
    • ISO processes and quality standards
  • Experience with sampling techniques and measuring tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and work instructions.
  • Basic math proficiency.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • 1+ year of manufacturing or inspection experience (preferred).

Physical Requirements

  • Excellent visual acuity (periodic testing required).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • 1st or 2nd shift availability
